Like I said the other day, this isn't rocket science. Our country is full of fat, unhealthy, uneducated, unmotivated idiots who feel entitled to a life of pleasure and cushion. It's going to be a rude awakening one way or another. How many fat chinese people do you see? They work hard and don't think they're owed a thing - and their economy is booming. Us - not quite so much...

I remember hearing somewhere that the rate of obesity and heart attacks started going up there when American fast food restaurants invaded China. McDonalds, KFC and Starbucks are all "status symbol" type places to eat in China. In fact, Pizza Hut is a fancy restaurant with white table clothes...

The Chinese are so infatuated with Amurican culture they are doomed to repeat many of our mistakes but as we all know - it will have more of an impact on the globe. The folks I met in Shanghai and Beijing were clamoring to get SUVs and big Gucci sunglasses. And breakdancing was again gaining momentum (which almost kept me there : )

That doesn't even look real. That kid looks like he's a doll, or wearing a fat suit. Weird.
